Processing Methods

The Controller adopts appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or unauthorized destruction of Personal Data.
The processing is carried out using IT and/or telematic tools, with organizational methods strictly related to the purposes indicated. In addition to the Controller, in some cases, Data may be accessible to other subjects involved in the organization of this Application (administrative, commercial, marketing, legal staff, system administrators) or external subjects (such as third-party technical service providers, postal couriers, hosting providers, IT companies, communication agencies) appointed also, if necessary, as Data Processors by the Controller. The updated list of Processors can always be requested from the Data Controller.

Legal Basis of Processing

The Controller processes the User’s Personal Data when one of the following applies:

  • The User has given consent to one or more specific purposes; Note: in some jurisdictions, the Controller may be allowed to process Personal Data without the User’s consent or another legal basis until the User objects (“opt-out”) to such processing. However, this is not applicable when the processing of Personal Data is regulated by European data protection legislation;
  • The processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with the User and/or pre-contractual measures;
  • The processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation to which the Controller is subject;
  • The processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the Controller;
  • The processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the Controller or by a third party.

It is always possible to request the Controller to clarify the specific legal basis of each processing and, in particular, whether the processing is based on law, a contract, or necessary to enter into a contract.

Data is processed at the Controller’s operational offices and wherever the parties involved in the processing are located. For further information, contact the Controller.
The User’s Personal Data may be transferred to a country other than the User’s residence. For more information on the place of processing, the User can refer to the section on details of Personal Data processing.

The User has the right to obtain information about the legal basis of transfers of Data outside the European Union or to an international organization of public international law or made up of two or more countries, such as the UN, as well as the security measures taken by the Controller to protect the Data.

The User can verify if one of these transfers takes place by examining the relevant section of this document or by contacting the Controller using the details provided at the beginning.

Retention Period

Data is processed and stored for the time required by the purposes for which it was collected.

Therefore:

  • Personal Data collected for purposes related to the execution of a contract between the Controller and the User will be retained until the contract is fully executed.
  • Personal Data collected for purposes related to the legitimate interests of the Controller will be retained until those interests are fulfilled. The User may obtain further information about the legitimate interests pursued by the Controller in the relevant sections of this document or by contacting the Controller.

When processing is based on the User’s consent, the Controller may keep Personal Data longer until such consent is revoked. Also, the Controller may be obliged to retain Personal Data for a longer period to comply with legal obligations or orders from authorities.
At the end of the retention period, Personal Data will be deleted. Therefore, after this period, rights of access, deletion, correction, and data portability can no longer be exercised.

Google Analytics with anonymized IP

This Google Analytics integration anonymizes your IP address. Anonymization works by truncating the IP address within the European Union or other member states of the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the IP address sent to Google servers and truncated within the United States.

These services allow displaying content hosted on external platforms directly from this Application’s pages and interacting with it. This type of service may still collect traffic data related to the pages where the service is installed, even when users do not use it.

Google Fonts is a font display service managed by Google LLC or Google Ireland Limited, depending on how the Controller manages Data processing, which allows this Application to integrate such content into its pages.

  • Interaction with social networks and external platforms

These services allow interactions with social networks or other external platforms directly from this Application’s pages. Interactions and information acquired by this Application are subject to the User’s privacy settings on each social network. This type of service may still collect traffic data for the pages where the service is installed, even when Users do not use it. It is recommended to log out from the respective services to ensure that data processed on this Application is not linked to the User’s profile.

Tweet Button and Twitter Social Widgets (Twitter, Inc.)

The Tweet button and Twitter social widgets are interaction services with the Twitter social network, provided by Twitter, Inc.

The LinkedIn button and social widgets are interaction services with the LinkedIn social network, provided by LinkedIn Corporation.

“Pin it” Button and Pinterest Social Widgets (Pinterest, Inc.)

The “Pin it” button and Pinterest social widgets are interaction services with the Pinterest platform, provided by Pinterest Inc.

User Rights

Users can exercise certain rights regarding the Data processed by the Controller.
In particular, the User has the right to:

  • withdraw consent at any time. The User can withdraw consent for the processing of their Personal Data previously given.
  • object to the processing of their Data. The User can object to the processing of their Data when it is carried out on a legal basis other than consent. Further details about the right to object are provided in the section below.
  • access their Data. The User has the right to obtain information about the Data processed by the Controller, on specific aspects of the processing, and to receive a copy of the Data processed.
  • verify and request correction. The User can verify the accuracy of their Data and request its update or correction.
  • obtain restriction of processing. When certain conditions apply, the User can request the restriction of processing of their Data. In this case, the Controller will not process the Data for any purpose other than storage.
  • obtain deletion or removal of their Personal Data. When certain conditions apply, the User can request the deletion of their Data by the Controller.
  • receive their Data or have it transferred to another controller. The User has the right to receive their Data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format and, where technically feasible, to have it transferred without hindrance to another controller. This provision applies when the Data is processed by automated means and the processing is based on the User’s consent, a contract to which the User is a party, or on contractual measures related to it.
  • lodge a complaint. The User can lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority or take legal action.

When Personal Data is processed for public interest, in the exercise of official authority vested in the Controller, or for the Controller’s legitimate interests, Users have the right to object to the processing for reasons related to their particular situation.

How to exercise rights

To exercise their rights, Users may send a request to the Controller’s contact details provided in this document. Requests are free of charge and will be handled by the Controller as soon as possible, in any case within one month.

Legal defense

The User’s Personal Data may be used by the Controller in court or in preparatory stages of its possible establishment for defense against abuse in the use of this Application or related Services by the User.
The User declares to be aware that the Controller may be required to disclose the Data by order of public authorities.

Specific information

Upon User’s request, in addition to the information contained in this privacy policy, this Application may provide the User with additional and contextual information concerning specific Services, or the collection and processing of Personal Data.

System logs and maintenance

Response to “Do Not Track” requests

The Data Controller reserves the right to make changes to this privacy policy at any time by notifying Users on this page and, if possible, on this Application as well as, where technically and legally feasible, sending a notification to Users through one of the contact details held. Usage Data are information collected automatically through this Application (also from third-party applications integrated into this Application), such as IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by the User connecting to this Application, URI notation addresses, request time, request method used to send the request to the server, file size obtained in response, numerical code indicating server response status (success, error, etc.), country of origin, browser and operating system characteristics used by the visitor, various temporal details of the visit (e.g., time spent on each page), and details about the path followed within the Application, particularly page sequence, operating system, and User’s IT environment parameters.

User

The individual using this Application who, unless otherwise specified, coincides with the Data Subject.

Data Subject
